Gay Fun At www.iowntheworld.com

And interesting comment thread developed when I went to thinking mode:

At: http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=77472&cpage=1#comment-450548 was this exchange:

  1. @Buck Obama, @Honey Badger — interesting, very very interesting. Here’s a moral story:

One nice thing about using my own name is no one wants to be me, and no one could do it better than I do. (And aren’t you all glad I’m not twins?)

Pity the 7 other living Jim Hlavac’s on earth today. Google us, we’re a fine bunch. The professor in Australia is particularly output by people finding me instead of him, or worse, him instead of me. And we both came out with a book in the same month of 2006. Weird, eh? I crack up when I think about it. What are the odds? Where’s Ripley’s Believe it or Not?

And the poor Nascar driver in North Carolina, he’s got problems as his buddies kid him about the “gay Jimmy.” Giggle.

The Playboy flicks and Anaheim Angels’ photographer Jim Hlavac is in a weird competition with me, for well, playboy I might be, yet my reputation sullied by his hetero porn connection, and I’m no angel, but looking at his pics of baseball players — well, everything is all screwed up.

The poor Jim Hlavac who is a dog catcher in Nebraska is probably beside himself.

The three dead Jim Hlavac’s are not affected, but one was a Korean War Vet and one was a Catholic Priest. I’m in good and bad company, depending on one’s political view.

But surely there’s enough nonsense in this nation without creating more, isn’t there?

So use your own name, and I don’t know why more people don’t.

    And you know why Buck?

As you say: “This is still a free country, and I make my own choices.” — I do, I am, I’m Jim, and I don’t have to hide behind some “avatar.” I’m an American, and I fear no one. Not even Jesse Lee of the new propaganda office in the White House.

I pay for that building, they are my employees, and the boss’s name should always be known, and his power shown. The government should fear me, not me fear them.

I’m happy I have the same initials as John Hancock. For I like to write my name big so neither the King nor President needs his spectacles to read it.

Liberty requires one’s name on the bottom line. The rest is just whining in cowering fear. What say you?

People, the greatest thing about gay liberty is coming out. And you know what? The greatest thing about American liberty is coming out. Extraordinarily similar aren’t they? And it’s a way to think about it in ways I’m sure you never have. Few of my friends have either, but I don’t spare the rod on them either. But “avatar”? I don’t need no stinkin’ “avatar.” There’s my picture and my name, for Liberty for All, Under God, Indivisible as Americans, but not necessarily agreeing with each other at all as Individuals. If we all agreed, we’d be socialists or theocrats.

Obama has a new “media” czar — whom do you think he’ll find first? Hlavac or “buck” or “honey”?

Well, I’m Hlavac, I’m a honey badger, and buck obama.

And when I have to preach liberty to the liberty minded, I get worried.

    @Jim,

What say I? When I first signed on IOTW, I used my real name. But, when I got fed up with this clown we have as President, (which didn’t take long) I changed my name to reflect my feelings towards him. Most thinking people can figure it out. And, I will continue to use it until he is out of office. I just don’t care for people making comments using my screen name. As I’m sure you wouldn’t like, either.

@Oh Honey, — want some humor folks? How humorous are you? We’re all for humor, right? Let’s try some gay humor; I’ve spared you all before. But we’re about humor and whom has it today. Let’s see. >

Honey, you’re still an asshole? Well, make my day. And don’t badger me about some friggin’ headache. Here, take two aspirin, call me in the morning. :)

Oooh, you’re not going to like that. Sorry. How easy. Like I said, I restrain myself, lest anyone get liberal attitudes on humor around here; as my liberal friends did just two days ago, when I dared question their liberty qualifications; they kiss Obama’s butt, and I have to fight them too.

Remember, Liberty is for all, not just 95% of us.

The “I’m STILL an asshole” wasn’t actually me.

I was just showing him how easy it is to take someones name when they don’t have an avatar. He wasn’t in the mood for any advice though.

Apparently Edith McCrotch thought he/she would show me how easy it is to steal my (by my I mean found on google) avatar. To which I say meh. Everyone takes themselves a little to seriously at times.
