It’s coming to this …

It’s coming to this. I can’t say when, but soon enough. After a day, no, days, of reading opinion pieces, and cruising the net, and looking at all the commentary, and the actions of this current administration, I’ve sort of reluctantly come to the horrendous conclusion that it’s come to invoking the 25th Amendment.

The latest thing I read leading to this conclusion, which if true will be everywhere by today and tomorrow, is that the EPA has ordered the shut down of One Third of the USA’s refining capacity and since most of what they’re closing is in Texas, the destruction of the Texas economy. Thereby it will create utter havoc in the gasoline market, and drive up the price of gasoline to two or three times what it is now. And then the president and his squawkers will try to nationalize the oil industry for “the good of the nation.”

And at that time, this amendment must be brought to the fore (pun intended, for they’ll find Obama on the golf course of course.)

Sure, Biden as VP won’t invoke it. But look at the other words in the amendment, in bold below, in Section 4 of the amendment:

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

This will be followed or be proceeded by an impeachment hearing. Given this administration’s proclivities, they’ll ignore the impeachment summons, leaving the new Congress no other choice.

I really can’t see the nation just simply saying much more, “Sure, Mr. O, keep denigrating, degradating and destructing the country, you won, after all.”

No. I can sense that sane heads will prevail, and the biggest Constitutional Crisis since Ft. Sumter will be ushered into our midst.

And I can’t be sure how it will play out. No one can. But again, it’s now become obvious that Obama is nothing short of the most dangerous enemy we faced since the end of the Cold War.

75 days of doing nothing on the gulf. Endless corruption bubbling up. Appeasement of our enemies abroad and abandonment of our friends. Surrendering vast swaths of the country to Mexico, de facto or de jure. The purposeful destruction of jobs. The increase in debt beyond all comprehension.

And still, if one can make the excuse that, well, “events happen,” one could make the case that we should rally ’round a president working to resolve the issues. But Obama’s not resolving, he’s ramping up the problems as fas as he can.

He and his political supports say the most egregious things. They are disdainful and dismissive of the citizens of this country. They are beyond the law, disregarding it when they see fit and enforcing it when it’s good for their plan to destroy the country they loath so much. They are calling us all “smart asses” and all but daring us to do something.

Perhaps they think they’ll be some sort of uprising by Blacks and Hispanics, who make up some 25% of the nation collectively, and that We the People will just sit back and allow the revolt. Perhaps there would be riots in such places as Detroit. But that city is gone already> What more damage can they do? Worse comes to worse we merely surround that city and then worry about the fallout.

For this would be, um, Unprecedented.

It’s late at night in reality, and the proverbial five minutes to midnight. I can’t give each and every action in detail, with reference to this or that source. Indeed, all it is is a gut feeling that this is what it’s coming to. Sad.

Oh well, poor socialists, they don’t realize that they’re going to lose this one.
